Would your FM operation hold up?
Most operations look fine on a normal Tuesday.
The gaps show up when someone’s off sick, a chiller fails at 4pm on a Friday or an insurer wants 12 months of fire records by tomorrow.
Twelve questions across six stress tests. You’ll see where your operation holds up, where it’s running on memory or effort... and the three things worth fixing first.
- Scores what happens, not what software you own
- A well-run spreadsheet beats a neglected system
- Your result on screen, no email needed
Two quick questions
These aren’t scored. They set the wording, so the questions fit the way your operation actually works.
Answer for what actually happens today, not what the procedure says should happen. If you’re not sure, say so. That’s a useful answer too.
How the check is scored
Every answer sits on the same four-step ladder. It doesn’t ask what software you use, because a well-run spreadsheet beats a system nobody keeps up to date.
Four questions (evidence, remedial actions, overdue statutory work and contractor checks) are red flags. A weak answer on any of them holds the overall result back, however strong the average.
It’s a self-assessment to help you spot weak processes and choose what to fix next, not a compliance audit.
- Step 1MemoryIt lives in someone’s head, or happens when someone notices.
- Step 2EffortThe information exists, but people chase, search or rekey it.
- Step 3ProcessIt’s recorded, owned and visible without asking anyone.
- Step 4ProvenIt’s been tested, checked or used to change a decision recently.
